General Playstyle[ | ]
As a melee based utility Career, Witch Hunter Captain should always put Special killing as your first priority. Then depends on your choice of Melee Weapon, focus on Elites or Horde Mobs. Use your passive Killing Shot and Witch-Hunt to Tag and delete high health targets. When there is a Monster on the field, clear the roaming mobs around your range DPS, help other melee career deal with Specials. Damaging Monsters should be the last thing on your priority list.
Recommended Range Weapon Choice[ | ]
All Ranged Weapons are very viable on Witch Hunter Captain, with Brace of Pistols and Crossbow performing better than others most of the time.

With this build, you prioritize at using the stackable bleed to clean Horde Mobs. However due to the unique passive of Witch Hunter Captain, you still have very high Elites damage.
The core talent of this build is Level 10 talent Flense and Level 20 talent Heretic Sighted. Flense provides great damage potential to all types of units, especially cleavable Horde Mobs. And Heretic Sighted can help you crowd control by increasing attack speed.
Recommend to pair with melee weapons like Flail, Falchion, Two-Handed Sword, Rapier, Axe and Falchion, Billhook. Or use it to boost other types of weapon’s damage on horde.

The core talent of this build is Level 10 talent Deathknell and Level 20 talent Wild Fervour. Deathknell provides great damage potential in all conditions, especially on single target DPS. And Wild Fervour can boost the damage of your whole team in tight situations when there are multiple Elites.
