Description[ | ]
The Beam staff is an incredibly versatile staff with three useful spells at the ready instead of the two of its contenders.
- Holding down primary attack fires the beam continuously. The longer the beam stays on a target, it will stack greater amounts of fire damage.
- Pressing the secondary attack while the primary beam is active fires off a heated shot, dealing instant damage and cancelling the beam. The heated shot deals its maximum damage increase of 2.5x after 1.25 seconds on target.
- Holding down secondary attack will ready a close-range shotgun blast in front of you. This shotgun attack can be rapidly fired.

Tips[ | ]
- The primary Beam attack will deal heavy damage every second if the beam is uninterrupted. The Famished Flame talent on Battle Wizard increases burning damage by 2.5x, resulting in massive damage on monsters if given time.
- The secondary heated shot is great for picking off ranged Elites and Specials. Be sure to keep the beam on for a few seconds before firing to ensure the then stronger heated shot will kill the target.
- The secondary shotgun attack has great stagger, resulting in pushing most infantry it doesn't outright kill. Bear in mind that rapid shots will build up large amounts of heat for Overcharge.
