The Sack Rat is a type of Skaven Special in Vermintide 2.
Also known as "Loot Rats", Sack Rats are Clanrats focused on looting the battlefield. They carry a large sack with items on their back, which they drop when killed. As Sack Rats are only interested in loot, they will flee upon spotting the Heroes.
Sack Rats are unique in that they do not attack Heroes. If killed before he can escape, the Sack Rat will drop several items, including Potions, Healing items, Bombs, and even Loot Dice.
Strategy[ | ]
- Sack Rats do not spawn every time during a mission, but when they do spawn, can be heard exclaiming "Mine!" repeatedly when passive or fleeing.
- Sack Rats have an incredible range in which they can detect the Heroes. It is therefore best to try and take it out with long-range weapons.
- Just like Monsters and patrols, Sack Rats have a chance to spawn at predetermined spots on a map. Learning these locations can allow you to prepare for the encounter and be quick enough to slay it.
- Sometimes Sack Rats spawn in places where they can't get out, which makes for an easy kill. Two examples are in the Skittergate-portal during The Skittergate and in the arena of Bödvarr Ribspreader during The War Camp.
Notes[ | ]
- A maximum of two loot dice can be acquired from Sack Rats in a single game. This cap is shared with the loot dice gained from chests.
- Not Technically a Special. Talents related to killing Specials do not work.
- When affected by Tzeentchian Twins Sack rat split into two rat Ogre, so be careful.
