Raiders are a type of Chaos Infantry.

Raiders carry a hand weapon, usually a sword, war pick, or mace. They often growl and shout, even before spotting the heroes.

Bulwark[ | ]

If you thought encountering a Raider was challenging enough, wait until you clash blades with his brother-in-damnation, the Bulwark. Adept at blocking attacks and capable of staggering you with a weighty shove, a Bulwark requires tactics to defeat. Only once past his shield can you land a telling blow, so sidestep with care and strike with surety.
~ Fatshark Studios

A shielded Raider is called a Bulwark. Bulwarks are similar to Raiders, but carry a wooden shield in addition to a hand weapon. They are also part of Rotblood patrols.

Strategy[ | ]

  • When startled, Raiders may hesitate before attacking by raising their weapon above their head, allowing for quick elimination before they can attack.
  • They are noticeably tougher than their Clanrat counterparts, and can take more hits before falling.

Shielded[ | ]

Chaos Horde Bulwark

  • Unless your weapon is Shield Breaking, it is better to push them while they are blocking. Two pushes should be enough to stagger them, which makes them lower their shield and opens them up to attacks.
  • Weapons with the Shield Breaking trait will knock away their shield easily or break it entirely, making them a good choice for dealing with Bulwarks. Note that the Bulwark shield is harder to break than the shield carried by shielded Clanrats.
  • Bulwarks can make Hordes deadly, as their shields can stop your weapon halfway in its track, meaning you won't be hitting as many enemies as you normally would. Focus on taking out Bulwarks so you can continue cleaving the horde afterwards.
